About us
“I founded Centocorde in 1988” proudly states its conductor Guido Muneratto. “Among many short lived guitar orchestras, this is almost a record”.
A humble didactic project in its early years, Centocorde is now a professional orchestra, at ease in many varied situations.
Through the years, some performers have changed around a core of players who represent a sort of ‘soul’ of Centocorde.
“We often invite some friends who play different instruments and we are especially delighted when our performances feature dancers, actors and puppets.
We explored all major contemporary compositions for guitar orchestra, including those which some young Italian composer graciously dedicated to us.
But in our long and diverse growth we never forgot what moved us from the beginning: the pleasure of playing together and the joy to share it with others”.
